Softly the wind blows
Through the open window
The curtain dances
The moonlight prances
A delicate ballet

On the porch tin chimes
Sing intricate rhymes
The leaves add background
Night filled with soft sounds
Much thoughtful music

Lilacs scent the air
Mixed with roses fair
Hint of hyacinths
As the moist grass tints
The subtle perfume

Like silk, the cool breeze
Through cotton sheets breathes
Tightened nerves to peace
Offering release
A comforting touch
