Where Dreams Walk

by Mandy Doerr

Where dreams walk in the misty twilight gleam.
Where dreams walk, only wishes can be seen.
Where dreams walk, I find a self I did not know.
How can something not yet true, seem to exist so long ago?

Where dreams walk, I feel the fire of hope.
Where dreams walk, I am caught by desire's rope.
Where dreams walk, there the future become's so bright.
Where does all that energy go, in the early morning's light?

For what purpose, does my mind inspires such things?
For what reason, does my spirit with longing, sings?
Is there power within me, to make these dreams come true?
Must I build my dreams, myself? Or can I count on you?

Do your dreams call, in the darkness of the night?
Do your dreams call, when hope is nowhere in sight?
Do your dreams call, for you to make them become real?
Does courage strengthen your faint heart and lessen the pain you feel?

Where dreams walk, I wish for your hand in mine.
Where dreams walk, it's your love I try to find.
Where dreams walk, it can be such a lonely lane.
For I know when I awake, only their memory remains.

For what purpose, does my mind inspires such things?
For what reason, does my spirit with longing, sings?
Could my heart ever be at peace, without you to hold?
Can't we build our dreams together? Changing lead to gold?

Am I a fool, wishing for what cannot be?
Am I a fool, for wanting you here with me?
Am I a fool? Please, tell me if it is so.
For if I am only a fool to you, where am I to go?

For what purpose, does my mind inspires such things?
For what reason, does my spirit with longing, sings?
Is there power within me, to make these dreams come true?
Must I build my dreams, myself? Or can I count on you?
