A Ray of Truth

A ray of truth speeds through the darkness,
'Til it reaches a particle of faith
And with its power, clothes the starkness,
Yet its light is no brighter than a wraith.

Despite the darkness, hope begins to form
As droplets of love start to fall.
Though the clouds of doubt try to storm,
Faith has grown stronger than them all.

Glowing brighter, it swells with love,
Sending out its own shoots of light,
Reaching for those below and above,
Creating a noble web in the night.
